Our best-selling Flyer self-inflating pad, with a radical hybrid design, is now also our first bluesign product. With the thickness of an air pad and the durability of a foam pad, Flyer is the perfect combination of comfort and lightweight design. Through a groundbreaking manufacturing approach that removes 60% of the foam, the pad self-inflates to increase thickness and provide ridged baffling for faster recovery after a long day on the mountain.

Each horizontal foam channel is hollowed out to reduce weight and offer progressive suspension for a comfortable sink-in feeling. The baffles are linked by solid foam to evenly support and prevent bottoming out. The fabric on the top, bottom, and stuff sack of the pad are now all 100% recycled and bluesign approved, as Flyer’s production meets strict social and labor standards required by bluesign.

Thanks to plush open-cell foam, Flyer offers an additional level of security on the trail. New technology allows for the first self-inflated pad to use 3D-sculpting, while horizontal coring retains a higher R-value with less foam, ensuring warmth without sacrificing weight or packed size. The unique manufacturing approach removes 60% of foam yet increases thickness by 290% when inflated.
